The Luxury Collection Hotel Concierge in Salzburg

Once a guest has arrived at the Hotel Goldener Hirsch , a Luxury Collection Hotel in Salzburg, the concierge team stands ready to be of service seven days a week, 24 hours a day, dedicated to ensuring that each guest is able to unlock the very best of Salzburg. Head Concierge Thomas Klingsbigl is a bilingual, certified destination expert, proudly wearing the “Les Clefs d’Or”, the gilt insignia of the celebrated international concierge society, and eager to reveal the city’s secret treasures.

Whether it be retrieving Prince Charles’s favorite, forgotten antelope shoehorn, securing last minute festival tickets, or arranging site-seeing tours, our concierge strives to make each stay impressive and memorable.

Our Concierge of Luxury Collection Hotel Goldener Hirsch highly recommends the following top Salzburg sites:

  • Residence Palace: Towards the end of the 16th Century, this medieval bishops' palace was given an early Baroque appearance that still astounds.
  • Getreidegasse: The charm of this characteristic quarter is a result of distinctive high, narrow houses with iron guild signs. Tightly nestled together, they create romantic passageways to stroll through.
  • St. Peter’s Cemetery: One of the world's oldest and most enchanting cemeteries with notorious catacombs.

Personal advice from our Chief Concierge Thomas Klingsbigl:

The "Mirabellgarten": Leave the Goldener Hirsch early in the morning the in order to have all the Mirabellgarten by yourselves. Located in the "Neustadt", the garden of the castle Mirabell, has been the gift of love from Prince Bishop Wolf Dietrich of Raitenau to Salome Alt (1606).
The ducks walking around the small pond, the fountain already is running and the day slowly begins. Fantastic!

Salzburg Open Air Museum: If the sun is shining, or at least it is dry, take the opportunity for a trip to Salzburg Open Air Museum. In a beautiful natural landscape 70 original buildings of six centuries have been renewed in laborious work, previously dismantled stone by stone from its locations in the province of Salzburg. Recently, one can explore the area with a small train.
